FAQ

Memorial Day TV sales have hit the shelves, and with mega discounts on everything from smaller secondary displays to the latest and greatest OLEDS there's plenty to choose from right now. If you do spot a price you like we'd recommend jumping on it sooner rather than later. These sales are officially slated to end at midnight, so today's offers won't last forever.

While Memorial Day 2024 won't be your only opportunity to grab one of the best gaming TV contenders for less, it's arguably one of the better times to do so. We're actually already seeing some record-low prices returning, with the likes of the Sony Bravia A75L dropping to its lowest-ever price, and the LG OLED G3 receiving a healthy cut. Even the new OLED C4 model is seemingly up for joining in, with introductory discounts helping make the newcomer more affordable.

At the moment, Amazon and Best Buy are leading the charge with screen deals, and Walmart also has a few nice offers worth considering. If it's a high-spec OLED display you're after, there are plenty of options that'll help your trim premium price tags, while cheaper traditional LED sets and even QLED panels are dropping to even more budget friendly levels. So, let's get stuck in to the best Memorial Day TV deals included in this year's sale before things return to normal.

Memorial Day TV sales FAQ

When do Memorial Day TV sales end?

Memorial Day TV sales will officially close out at midnight on Monday, May 27th, 2024 at many retailers. We do often see some prices sticking around in the days following the official holiday with many of the biggest offers running out of stock before the big day itself, so if you spot a price you like we wouldn't wait too long to jump in.

Where will the best Memorial Day TV sales be?

With Memorial Day 2024 almost upon us, we're starting to get a better idea of where the latest TV sales will take place. Naturally, lots of the biggest names in the business, such as Samsung, Sony, LG, Hisense, Vizio, and TCL, are likely to host their own sales via their respective websites. This will then trickle down to the many, many retailers out there.

The top retailers usually involved with the best TV sale prices in the US include Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target. On the other hand, those in the UL will typically come across some big discounts at Amazon UK, Currys, Argos, and AO. Once we get closer to the main event, we'll have a much better idea of where to find the best Memorial Day TV sales.

What to expect from Memorial Day TV sales 2024

Sony Bravia

Memorial Day is usually when we start looking for those big brand gaming TVs to drop in price, with the event providing exceptional value for money. Naturally, Black Friday and Prime Day can give the event a run for its money, but we more often than not see unique deals appear at the end of May.

As a rule, you should expect big things from Samsung, Sony, LG and other top brands, as brands will be looking to reduce the cost of their 2024 models significantly. If you're happy to go even further back, then there are sure to be major savings to be had, especially if there's still LG OLED C2 stock floating around. That's not to say shiny new models won't be available for less, as even the Samsung QN55S90D has already dropped in price this year.

For the most part, we'd suggest looking for our for 2023 stock, with the Sony Bravia A75L serving as a great example of a high-spec discounted display. Before Memorial Day even has the chance to arrive, Best Buy has knocked the OLED screen down from $1,599.99 to $1,199.99, which appears to be for clearance reasons rather than anything to do with annual sales.

We're hoping for plenty of budget options too with the cost of living affecting us all more than ever. That's why it's worth keeping an eye on the likes of Hisense, Onn, TCL and Vizio, all of which have cheap models regularly available – so, in theory, these further price drops should make these a steal. One previous example was the 43-inch Roku Class Select model which had an exclusive Best Buy discount from $319 to $249. However, we wouldn't be surprised if you'll be able to walk away with a decent 55-inch TV for less than $250 this year.

Many of these deals may pop up in the days leading up to Memorial Day, however, costs may drop again the closer we get to the main event. Regardless, a lot of these models can actually sell out. So with that in mind, it's recommended to take up a great deal when you see it. Naturally knowing what actually is a great deal is the hard part but that's where we come in.

I’ve been messing around with PCs, video game consoles, and tech since before I could speak. Don’t get me wrong, I kickstarted my relationship with technology by jamming a Hot Wheels double-decker bus into my parent’s VCR, but we all have to start somewhere. I even somehow managed to become a walking, talking buyer’s guide at my teenage supermarket job, which helped me accept my career fate. So, rather than try to realise my musician dreams, or see out my University degree, I started running my own retro pop culture site and writing about video games and tech for the likes of TechRadar, The Daily Star, and the BBC before eventually ending up with a job covering graphics card shenanigans at PCGamesN. Now, I’m your friendly neighbourhood Hardware Editor at GamesRadar, and it’s my job to make sure you can kick butt in all your favourite games using the best gaming hardware, whether you’re a sucker for handhelds like the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch or a hardcore gaming PC enthusiast.
