What to expect from Memorial Day Meta Quest Deals 2024
Meta Quest 3 has been dominating the VR scene so far in 2024. Yes, Apple Vision Pro did have a lot of hype around its launch, but it's suffering the same PR fate that the majority of these devices do once the dust settles - the negatives surrounding them are the topic of conversation, and everyone hears funeral bells tolling.
I'd expect Memorial Day to be an opportunity for retailers to test the water with Meta Quest 3 deals. The manufacturer will likely want to capitalize on its recent popularity, and it's extended the Asgard's Wrath 2 bundle well beyond its initial deadline of February for that reason. We've seen some Quest 3 discounts in the UK, but deals in the US have been relegated to Meta Quest vouchers and Quest+ memberships so far.
Overall, I'd guess that these are the main bundles we'll see over the Memorial Day window, since the biggest bundles and discounts will likely be saved for Prime Day in the Summer, or Black Friday towards the end of the year.
There will likely be plenty of accessory deals up for grabs at Amazon and Walmart. The official accessories will probably see smaller discounts, but these are pretty expensive add-ons when there's a great selection of third-party options. Definitely look out for these, and for game discounts on the official Meta Quest store.
The Quest 2 will probably not see any further discounts, since it's already hitting the bottom of its price barrel. Bundles have been getting more difficult to find lately though, so if it's one of these you seek, it's recommended that you be on the ball for any flash sales.
As a side note, if you aren't an owner of a VR headset yet, it might be worth keeping an eye on PSVR 2 discounts this month. We're yet to see a big discount, or indeed a second bundle arrive for the device, but with PC compatibility looming, we could see a turnaround on those things any day now.

From our experience, these carry through until the big day (unless stock is sold out) with some deals even making it through until Wednesday (May 31st). Remember, if you see a good deal, jump on it.
