Zoolander 2 will blow your mind
Script is almost ready for the studios
Zoolander 2 is currently in “good shape” according to writer Justin Theroux.
Having completed a draft with co-writer/star Ben Stiller, Theroux has spoken to MTV about what we should expect from the return of the pouty poser.
“It's too funny - it'll blow your mind,” promises Theroux. The plot reportedly takes place years after the first film, with Zoolander and Owen Wilson’s Hansel attempting to find a way back into the fashion industry.
“We start off with them in a pretty bad place,” Theroux elaborates. “They're about to ring 40's bell. They have to claw their way back into the fashion industry in some way or another.”
Most importantly, though, Theroux hinted that there could be a return for fashion king Mugatu, played in the first film by Will Ferrell.
“Fingers crossed, anything is possible in Hollywood, but I think you're going to see Mugatu. We are planning on seeing Mugatu,” the writer says. “There are a couple new villains that step onto the stage, which we are all very happy about. And yes, Jonah is the inspiration for one of them.”
