Zombieland to be a TV series?
Film's writers also working on Hasbro's Micronauts
“ Zombieland is brought to you in front of a live studio audience.” We're really hoping that's not how the TV series kicks off, with Friends -style laughter polluting the black humour, but apparently Zombieland is headed to the small screen.
A sequel to the 2009 hit comedy has been in the works for some time now but even director Ruben Fleischer recently said he doesn't think it's going to happen.
With the season two TV premiere of The Walking Dead breaking records this week, it seems someone has put two and two together and made four. And by four we mean a Zombieland TV series.
Early word is that Fox TV has something more like a sitcom in mind. Sounds to us like that particular two plus two might make five.
The original movie’s writing duo of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are involved with the project and it sounds like they're going to be pretty busy.
The GI Joe 2 and Deadpool writers have also been hired by Hasbro to pen the toy company's Micronauts movie.
Micronauts will be made by JJ Abrams’s Bad Robot production company and will be based on the Japanese toys - first released as Microman in 1974 - and the 1979 comic-book series.
