Zoe Saldana will star in Rosemarys Baby miniseries
Set to lead new NBC show
NBC latest movie-inspired TV show looks to have bagged a leading lady, with Zoe Saldana set to star in the forthcoming Rosemary’s Baby miniseries.
Having enjoyed success with the Mads Mikkelsen-starring Hannibal , the network is bringing Ira Levin’s 1967 horror novel to the small screen, with Saldana set to sign on as the titular mother.
Famously adapted for cinema by Roman Polanski in 1968, the story tells of a young couple with a troubled past who move to Paris and find themselves expecting a child.
However, Rosemary becomes increasingly suspicious of her husband, who, along with their mysterious new neighbours, seems to have some ulterior motives regarding the child’s future...
The miniseries is currently being penned by Scott Abbott and American Horror Story scribe James Wong, with Saldana also set to receive an executive producer credit. No air date has been confirmed at this stage.
