Zelda Wii U is coming in 2016
The Legend of Zelda for Wii U will be released in 2016, Nintendo confirmed in today's Nintendo Direct. The company offered scant few details about the open-world successor to Skyward Sword, but at least now we know it's coming next year - and that it definitely hasn't become an NX exclusive.
Nintendo also revealed that if you use an amiibo while playing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on Wii U, some of that data can carry over to the new Zelda. Would it be alright if we just skipped the rest of 2015 and went straight to the new year?

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
