Zack Snyder Talks Superman

It’s going to be a year zero affair, and we may see the new suit sooner than you think
What he means by this, apparently, is expect a Batman Begins -style reboot, and a film in thrall to Richard Donner’s Superman vision in the way Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns was.
“The one thing that everyone can start to think about is that we’re making a movie that finally goes with the approach that there’s been no other Superman movies,” says Snyder. “If you look at Batman Begins , there’s that structure, there’s the canon that we know about and respect but on other hand there’s this approach that pre-supposes that there haven’t been any other movies. In every aspect of design and of story, the whole thing is very much from that perspective of respect the canon but don’t be a slave to the movies.”
He also emphasises something that he said a few months back to SFX , that this Superman will be a real action man: “Yeah, and we’re not afraid of that at all. Our Superman, he’s got things to figure out but he’s a physical cat.”
The article also claims that Man Of Steel is the “likely” title, and that we may see the new Superman costume sooner than you'd expect to prevent images of it leaking onto the ’net unofficially.
Snyder's Superman is due for release in December 2012, starring Henry Cavill (above)
