Zach Galifianakis for Jason Segel's Muppet movie

Robert Downey Jr has let slip that Zach Galifianakis has a part in the new Muppet Movie.

Speaking at a Due Date junket, RDJ announced that his co-star Galifianakis is set to appear in Kermit's next flick, inspiring furtive guilty glances from the bearded one, but no denials.

Penned by Jason Segel, the new Muppet movie – currently going under the working-title The Muppets – sees the googly-eyed fuzzy geniuses go on an epic adventure to save their theatre.

We’re not sure what part Zach will be playing – RDJ probably wasn’t even supposed to be announcing that he’s in the thing – but we can’t imagine a more perfect match between script and star.

Hell, glue some fuzzy felt to Galifianakis’ face and he could be a Muppet.

The film, which will probably feature a hilarious cameo from Katy Perry, will be out in 2011.
