With Star Wars: Rogue One in theaters now, UK data analysis site YouGov decided to have a little fun and get Brits' thoughts on the saga. In a survey of 1,600 adults, UK residents named Han Solo as their favorite Star Wars character (21%). Of course, this wasn't the only question they weighed in on.
The UK also overwhelmingly declared their alignment with the light side of the Force (64%), showed an affinity for blue and purple lightsabers (23% and 22% respectively), and agreed that Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back is the best of all the movies released thus far (28%). There's a lot more fun data in YouGov's full report, so take a look if you want to know where you fall in relation to the country of Big Ben and The Beatles.
Oh, and as for the UK's least favorite Star Wars character? It's not Jar Jar Binks - who actually beat out Padme, Palpatine, Rey, and Finn - it's Qui-Gon Jinn, who racked up so few votes that he didn't even earn 1% of the total. But then, it was kinda Qui-Gon's fault that Anakin ever received Jedi training and thus would eventually become Darth Vader so...
We serve both sides of the pond here, so how about you, US readers? Who's your favorite Star Wars character?
