Xbox One's first 104 backwards compatible games confirmed
If you're clutching a copy of Black Ops 2 to your chest and hoping, praying that you'll be able to play it on Xbox One later this week, you can let it gently drop to the floor along with your dreams. Microsoft has revealed the full list of Xbox One backwards compatible games coming in the initial update on Thursday, and nearly three quarters of them are downloadable Arcade titles.
Games like Fallout 3, Fable 2, and the entire Gears of War collection did make the cut, but the collection of AAA-tier Xbox 360 titles on Xbox One will remain relatively sparse for the moment. Thankfully, Microsoft plans to enable more "on a regular basis," including the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, all three BioShocks, Halo Reach, Halo Wars, and Skate 3.
You can still vote for the Xbox 360 games you most want to see in a future backwards compatibility update. Though I can understand if you're a bit disillusioned by the democratic process for the moment, since Black Ops 2 has been the clear leader for months.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
