Xbox One Avatars will support wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs, pregnancy, unicorns, and a lot more

Remember Avatars, Xbox's answer to the uber-popular Miis of yesteryear? Well, at E3 2017, Microsoft revealed that they're coming back, and this time with a ton of expanded customization options. Revamped Avatars will launch on Xbox One this fall, and you can get a quick taste of what's to come with a new trailer.

It looks like the cartoon representations of our digital selves will be quite a bit more varied both in what they can do and how they look. There's accommodations for various disabilities including wheelchairs and prosthetic limbs, a wider gamut of body shapes, new costumes and accessories, the ability to change your color pallette - even the ability to make your Avatar pregnant.

Who knows how much the Avatars will play into your Xbox One profile; the current dashboard isn't like the Xbox 360 where we saw them constantly. Still, more options seems like a good thing, and I'm happy people will be able to represent themselves in new ways when the feature hits.

Make sure you check out our full E3 2017 schedule to stay tuned for all the details as they arrive, and check out our roundup of all the E3 2017 trailers.
