Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X bundle video reveals some special aesthetic features

Microsoft has revealed the sizzle trailer for its much-leaked Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X bundle.

The video goes in for close-ups on several of the special edition console's unique features, including light-up LEDs, custom panels, and even some glow-in-the-dark graffiti on the side. The trailer also reveals that the bundle will launch in June 2020, meaning you'll have three months to play around with it before Cyberpunk 2077 itself comes out.

Before the trailer arrived, an Amazon listing leaked the Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X bundle's box art. The packaging confirmed that the bundle contains both a special edition of the Xbox One X alongside the controller that leaked in another previous retail listing. However, it does not seem to include a copy of the game - which makes sense, since it's coming out three months beforehand.

Update: The official press release for the console confirms that it does indeed include a download code for the game, though you will still need to wait three months to actually play it.

Xbox began to tease the reveal of the bundle earlier this week, but the series of leaks blew the lid off its official announcement. In any case, we can still expect more information about the bundle's exact price, release date, and featured contents soon enough, but at least we know what it looks like (and that it has flashy LEDs, which are tough to argue with).

Original story below:

It looks like Cyberpunk 2077 and Xbox are teasing some special hardware with a new hacking-themed promotional campaign.

If you head to Xbox.com right now, you should be greeted with a brief site takeover video. It will flash various high-tech messages before telling you to come back in four days (as of Thursday). One of the images it flashes is a silhouette of what looks very much like an Xbox One X on a vertical stand and an Xbox controller, as you can see in the image above.

If it is indeed some limited-edition Cyberpunk 2077 hardware, we probably already know what the controller will look like thanks to an early retailer listing. There might still be more to it: this Tweet from the official Xbox account points to an otherwise unassuming login page hosted by Cyberpunk's fictional Arasaka megacorporation.

Feel free to punch in your choice of username and password if you're in a hacking kind of mood, though I'll tell you right now that putting in "Mike Pondsmith" and "cyberpunk2020rulez" will get you nowhere. I may already be out of ideas, though I can tell you that the website's source code does include references to Cyberpunk and "break the code", tying it into the rest of the promo campaign.

More talented internet sleuths than I have already assembled to try and break their way into the page and I'll let you know here if they share anything big. Hopefully, they make their way in soon - though judging by that countdown on the Xbox site, we'll find out what the big deal is one way or another by Monday.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have "no less DLC than The Witcher 3," so prepare to be busy long after it arrives in September. Here's more information on how to pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 to guarantee your copy.
