Xbox 360 gets bundled

Thursday 21 September 2006
With both eyes fixed firmly on a PS3-less Christmas in the UK, Microsoft has announced a juicy Xbox 360 deal that bundles together a Premium pack console, an extra wireless controller (in addition to the one in the Premium pack) and a copy of Project Gotham Racing 3 all for the tempting price of £300. The bundle will be available from 22 September, which - if you're not awake yet - is tomorrow.

At current prices, if you were looking to buy all these bits separately it would lighten your wallet by around £350, so punters looking to get in on the next-gen action would save themselves enough to pick up a copy of one of the latest Xbox 360 titles, such as Dead Rising or Test Drive Unlimited.

After Sony announced that PS3 won't be hitting Europe until March 2007 and most likely carrying a price tag of £425, Microsoft is obviously eager to do all it can to take advantage of the generous head start that its rival has given them. And this bundle is sure to extend its current lead even further.

I don't have the energy to really hate anything properly. Most things I think are OK or inoffensively average. I do love quite a lot of stuff as well, though.
