X-Men movie producer Lauren Shuler Donner revealed in an interview on America's Fox Movie Channel that there are tentative plans for an X-Men Origins movie called First Class, which will feature the some of the original X-Men as young pupils at Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters.
"It is the first class of Xavier's school, way back when, so it's young Scott, young Jean, young Beast and that'll be really fun," Donner is reported as saying on Coming Soon . "I think (the plan) is to follow some of the characters into their own stories, and weave them back into the X-Men world. And hopefully First Class will become its own franchise and we can follow them as they grow up."
Just as long as they don’t recast Patrick Stewart and do that CG de-aging trick they used in the opening scene of X-Men III. That was just downright freaky.
Donner also said that a Magneto film was still in development.
