X-Men: Destiny gets three character trailers

Here's three new trailers for Silicon Knights' upcoming X-Men: Destiny, each highlighting a different set of X-Gene powers that can be gained by donning the appropriate X-spandex. There's a look at some of the powers for Havok, Emma Frost and Juggernaut, as well as the host of better-known mutants who'll be playing supporting roles in your fledgling superhero's saga.

The Havok X-Gene grants the power to absorb and emit concentrated blasts of ambient cosmic energy, which functionally (appropriately enough for someone called Havok) means physics is your best friend.

Equipping the Emma Frost X-Gene turns you into a more active (not to mention sensibly-dressed) version of Final Fantasy's Shiva – or any other ice-based videogame character you care to name.

Becoming the Juggernaut makes you really, really, really, ridiculously strong and impervious to physical injury, even among superheroes. How you inform people of this power is up to you, though here is a popular suggestion.

These and all manner of other mutant powers will become available to X-Men: Destiny players when the game releases on Sep 27.
