World Trade Center trailer debuts
First glimpse of the controversial 9/11 flick from Oliver Stone
With United 93 whipping up a frenzy and nabbing all the headlines, the spotlight has been shifted somewhat from Oliver Stone’s ground zero-based movie World Trade Center, which will arrive in UK cinemas on the 29 September – but we can now take a look at the first trailer for the controversial flick.
The film follows the true story of two New York Port Authority policemen who were trapped in the rubble after rushing into danger to save survivors.
The families of John McLoughlin and Will Jimeno (played by Nicolas Cage and Crash star Michael Peña) waited anxiously for news as rescuers searched for any sign of life.
World Trade Center also stars Maria Bello, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Friday Night Lights actor Jay Hernandez.
