Retrogames with webcam control - sounds like the future! This demo shows a modified Super Mario Bros with hundreds of Marios, all controlled by swooshing them around with real human hands instead of a controller. They flow like water. Hypnotic.
7) Money, sense
What’s the point in keeping a sealed copy of a game? Unlike a bottle of wine, it’s not going to get any better with age. And even if it did, you’d never know because it’s still sealed in its plastic cocoon. Then again, the person who just sold this mint condition sealed copy of Chrono Trigger pocketed more than £600 for it, so what do we know?
8) Doraemon DS
To celebrate the launch of this year’s Doraemon anime in Japan, they’re raffling off 70 of these beautiful special edition DS Lites. If there’s any better present for the Doraemon obsessive in your life, we’ve yet to see it.
Awesomeness of this DS: extreme. Chances of us getting one: nil.
9) SNES PlayStation pad
It’s well known that Sony’s PlayStation arose from an abandoned CD-ROM add-on for the SNES. However, this is the first time we’ve seen one of the parts of the ill-fated devkit for sale. It’s a prototype controller, looking quite similar to the normal SNES pad but with two extra buttons, and this one sold on eBay for a staggering $3,000.
