Wonder Woman to begin filming in Autumn 2015
Wonder Woman will begin filming later this year, with Deadline revealing that cameras are set to roll on the project at some point during the Autumn.
The confirmation comes as a side note in a story linking leading lady Gal Gadot to a part in Gregg Mottola’s Keeping Up With The Joneses, with the actress set to join a cast that includes Zach Galifianakis, Isla Fisher and Jon Hamm.
Plot details for the Wonder Woman film have yet to be officially confirmed, but it is rumoured that it will be set in the 1920s, with the titular heroine leaving her home of Themyscira and making her first encounter with the USA.
Warner is apparently planning the film as the first in a potential trilogy, with the character set to receive her big-screen introduction in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
That film will open on 25 March 2016, with Wonder Woman set to arrive just over a year later on 23 June 2017.
