Winona Ryder hints at return for Beetlejuice sequel
“It sounds like it might be happening”
Recent Hollywood rumblings have suggested that the long-awaited sequel to Beetlejuice might finally be on the way, and now Winona Ryder has dropped a very strong hint regarding her potential involvement.
“I’m kind of sworn to secrecy, but it sounds like it might be happening,” confirmed the star in a recent interview with The Daily Beast , before going on to explain how the sequel would play out.
“It’s not a remake, it’s 27 years later,” explains Ryder. “And I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later.”
Meanwhile, Ryder went on to say that her prospective return would have been unthinkable, were it not for the involvement of Tim Burton and Michael Keaton.
“I would never go near it if it was not Tim and Michael,” says Ryder. “Because those guys, I love.” Happily for her, it sounds as though all the pieces are coming together…
