That leaves questing. Blizzard has outdone itself by peppering each zone in the Outlands with an inordinately large number of quests. Most are conducive to grinding, with the added bonus of 10,000 experience points or more gained by turning in the completed quest. The large amount of experience granted by completing quests, combined with the fact that nearly every mob is related to a quest somehow, makes the initial running around quest gathering time well spent.

And then there's the huge monetary gain. Even while leveling, quests normally give three to five gold plus the usual gear or item reward. A average chain In Zangarmarsh, for instance, netted us about 50,000 experience in quest turn-ins, another 15 to 20,000 in kill experience, and twenty to twenty-five gold. Purely grinding with no regards to the quest log is an easy way to miss out on the most lucrative part of the game.

So, in our minds, with the new gold and gear rewards, the large number of quests available, and the huge amount of experience gain involved, the just-kill-it-if-it-moves approach is no longer a feasible way to quickly and efficiently level in the WoW.
