Last summer, news was announced that director Sam Raimi was developing a big screen adaptation of the the roleplaying game World Of Warcraft for Blizzard Entertainment and Legendary Pictures. At that time, it still seemed likely that Raimi would be concentrating on Spider-Man 4 first.
Six months on and it's all change. Raimi and the wall-crawler franchise have parted ways.
So does that mean World Of Warcraft is now on the fast track?
Not necessarily so, according to producer Rob Tapert on IF Magazine.com .
"It’s in development," says Tapert. "We're in the outline/story/script phase. I don't want to speak on Sam's behalf, because the Spider-Man thing happened so recently. I think he's getting his feet under him and trying to decide. He might want to do a teeny, tiny small film, but I don’t know what he wants to do. I know he had a great time doing Drag Me To Hell."
