Will Ferrell signs up to become The Flamingo Thief
Sticky fingers ahoy
Will Ferrell has signed on to star in book adaptation The Flamingo Thief.
Penned by You, Me & Dupree writer Michael LeSieur, and based on the novel by Susan Trott, the script for Flamingo Thief made it onto the 2011 Black List of best unproduced screenplays.
Once again proving that he can do more than just comedy, Ferrell will play millionaire Tim Forester, whose grief over his son’s death prompts him to steal a flamingo figurine from his niece.
That’s just the start of a series of unfortunate events including Forester losing his wife and his business – which has the intriguing effect of making him feel a lot better.
After the likes of Stranger Than Fiction and Everything Must Go saw Ferrell on fantastic form outside of the comedy arena, this is sounding like a very exciting prospect.
