Will DiCaprio be The Chaser?
William Monaghan may adapt the Korean thriller
Having hit it big and scored Golden Baldies with The Departed, Warner Bros has decided to recruit another Asian thriller to see if it can pump out another hit. The studio has nabbed the remake rights to cop drama The Chaser, which is currently ruling the Korean box office.
And what better way to secure some Departed-style love than by securing the services of writer William Monaghan and lead Leonardo DiCaprio? Leo’s said to be very interested in the starring part of a former cop who gets tough on a mission to find a missing girl who’s been snatched by a serial killer. Monaghan is already in discussions.
Anyone think the next step is seeing if Martin Scorsese has room in his crowded schedule? The Hollywood Reporter has been chasing down the story .
