Bay Has Transformers 2 Script Ready
Director Michael Bay tells Rotten Tomatoes that he has completed a draft for the Transformers sequel which he’s ready to hand over to his scriptwriters now that the writers’ strike is over. "We've got our characters all designed. I always write all my scripts for my movies anyway, so at least I've got something to give the writers. It's like a template. We have a really good outline so I worked on that," says Bay. The first Transformers movie had box office takings of over $706 million dollars worldwide.
Cameron Recommends Actor For T4
Australian actor Sam Worthington will take a lead role in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins after James Cameron recommended him to T4 director McG, reports Variety . Worthington has recently finished filming on Cameron’s Avatar, where he clearly impressed the director of the first two Terminator movies. The actor will be playing Marcus, a central figure in a three-picture arc that begins after Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust. Christian Bale headlines as John Connor.
Bettany Is An Angel
Paul Bettany – who bared his bum as Chaucer in A Knight’s Tale – will play an angel in Legion, a movie from first time director Scott Stewart. According to Variety the film is the tale of what happens when God loses faith in humanity and sends his angels to wipe out the humanity (floods being so last season). Bettany plays Archangel Michael, who helps a group of misfits trapped in a desert diner.
Wes Craven’s Next Nightmare
Wes Craven is hoping to create a new big screen villain to rival Freddy Krueger in his next film, 25/8, reports Coming Soon . It will introduce a serial killer who returns 15 years after his death to kill seven kids who were born that day. "It's more a thriller than slasher film," says Craven.
Eccleston Is GI Joe Villain
Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston has replaced David Murray as the villainous Destro in the Stephen Sommers-directed big screen version of GI Joe, according to The Hollywood Reporter .
