Weapons seized on World War Z set
Hungarian police: “A disaster waiting to happen”
Just how realistic are the producers of zombie apocalypse movie World War Z trying to make their film?
A little too realistic if reports of a raid on the set of the Brad Pitt movie are to be believed.
Hungarian police say they seized 85 weapons during a raid on the production, including AK-47s and sniper rifles.
A SWAT team carried out the operation on a warehouse in Budapest because the guns were equipped with live ammunition.
“The 85 weapons were seized in Budapest at a warehouse because they were not fully inoperable as they were supposed to be,” said the Hungarian authorities.
A police spokesman called the weapons “a disaster waiting to happen”.
“We are working with the authorities to resolve the matter and have no further comment at this time,” said a publicist for the movie.
