Watch the first trailer for Dark - Netflix's new foreign language Original series you don't want to miss
If you're suffering from serious Stranger Things withdrawal, Netflix is working on getting you a patch in the form of its first German Original TV show, Dark.
While the fact that it's a foreign language series might put you off at first, I saw the first trailer at the 2017 Netflix Conference (which has now been released online and you can watch above) and trust me when I say, you're going to want to keep your eye on this one.
Set in the fictional town of Winden, Dark follows the story of a missing boy and the lives of everyone involved. The showrunners reveal that many long-buried secrets come out during the search as well as more children going missing, but that's not all... it also seems Dark has a fantasy twist too.
There appears to be three different timelines involved - one in the '50s, one in the '80s, and one in the present day - and the trailer ends with a menacing voice over which says: "It's not who kidnapped the children... but when."
Missing children? Mysterious secrets? Time travel? Sounds very Stranger Things, doesn't it?
Unfortunately (for fortunately, depending on how you look at it), the second season of Stranger Things will be on Netflix before we get Dark as it's currently still filming with Netflix aiming for a December 2017 release. Watch this space.
