Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger's Vinyl gets its first trailer

The first trailer has landed online for Vinyl, Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger’s new rock 'n' roll drama series for HBO, starring Bobby Cannavale as Richie Finestra, president of American Century Records. With ingredients like these, you’d expect something with attitude to spare, and sure enough, Vinyl has it in spades.

"Think back to the first time you heard a song that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up," says Cannavale, outlining his character’s modus operandi. "Made you want to dance or go out and kick somebody's ass. That's what I want ... That's rock and roll: it's fast; it's dirty; it smashes you over the head." Amen to that, brother.

Looks pretty badass doesn’t it? Alongside the explosive bouts of guitar-thrashing, violence and drug abuse, eagle-eyed viewers should keep an eye out for Jagger’s son James as Kip Stevens, the lead singer of the excellently-named punk band, Nasty Bits.

Co-starring Olivia Wilde, Juno Temple and Ray Romano, the ten-episode show will be making its way to our TV screens in January 2016.
