Watch the Justice League cutscene that helped Tim Miller land the Deadpool gig
If you thought first-time director, Tim Miller, was a risky choice to direct the already risky Deadpool movie, you weren't the only one. And while he's undoubtably done an incredible job, I'm still wondering what made Fox put their faith in someone who'd never directed a feature-length movie before?
Well, as it turns out, Miller created a Justice League cutscene for DC Universe Online that helped win them over according to ScreenCrush. Watch it below...
What a fight! When Lex Luthor reveals to the Justice League that this is his past, but their future, it actually gave me chills.
It's actually a cutscene from the DC Universe Online game, which Miller directed with his VFX company Blur Studios. It originally premiered at Comic-Con 2010 as a pre-release cinematic trailer, but has resurfaced online for the rest of us to enjoy.
This is obviously a dream JL scenario - I dread to think the headache it would be getting all these characters into one movie - but you can see why it won over the big bosses at Fox. In fact, maybe Zack Snyder should be taking some notes because while this is one hell of a cutscene, it would make an even better movie.
