Warner keen for Jesse Eisenberg to reprise Lex Luthor role in Suicide Squad
Cara Delavingne to play Harley Quinn?
Warner is apparently planning to add Jesse Eisenberg to its Suicide Squad ensemble, with Deadline reporting that Lex Luthor will feature in the new film.
While Luthor has not been a traditional mainstay of that series, the report claims that Warner is keen to bring him into the fold, thus connecting the new property with one of its more established franchises.
Eisenberg could potentially become part of a superhero ensemble to rival The Avengers for star power, with Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Tom Hardy all thought to be in discussions with the studio.
It has also been rumoured that Cara Delavigne is in line to join the cast, with the model-turned-actress linked to the role of Harley Quinn, after posting a picture of the character on her Instagram feed.
Directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad is currently scheduled to open in US cinemas in 2016, with an exact release date yet to be confirmed.
