War Front strategy guide - German campaign
Conquer the world with our complete German mission walkthrough
At your Primary Base, six or seven Wurfrahmen should stand guard slightly east of the base to protect against Russian tanks and infantry advancing across the open plain. You will be pressed for resources until you take control of that second mine near the Soviet Command Center, but once you control it you should be two or three Airfields; the Stukas and Call-In Bombers are needed for a threat that will shortly loom on the eastern horizon.
It’s likely that only one of the seven Defensive Bunkers will have been destroyed, but you don’t have time to worry about them: a battalion of new Kharkov super-tanks is moving in from the east. Fortunately, they move rather slowly, and between your own Tank Factory and the Russian War Factory you should be able to pump out enough units to stop them or at least slow them down so much that more units can be produced to finish them off. If it appears you can’t stop them before they reach the base, hurriedly build a couple of AT 88 Bunkers if you don’t already have some in place. Stukas can also be used to stop them in their tracks.
When you eliminate the last of the Kharkovs, the tide of the battle will have turned in your favor. Upgrade both your primary base to Tech Level 3 and the Soviet base to at least Tech Level 2; the Radio Station you captured will provide you with Call-In Partisans so you can bedevil the Soviets the way they’ve harassed you. Destroy the Defensive Bunkers with Call-In Bomber and V1s so that the skies will be relatively free of AA fire (target the smaller AA Bunkers as well), and you’ll be able to use Stukas to escort the Repair Truck you must send to fix the damaged Kharkov. Be aware that this must be a German Repair Truck, not a Russian one, and that besides the Stukas you’ll probably want to escort this valuable prize with several medium or heavy tanks.
