It's been a good seven days for fantasy trailers. Last week we got great new ads for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Spider-Man 3 , and now the promo gods have smiled on us once more and given us a first glimpse at Stardust .
Adapted by Matthew " Layer Cake " Vaughn from Neil Gaiman's novel, the movie's looking a bit like The Princess Bride would had it been directed by Terry Gilliam. This trailer gives us a look at one of the finest casts ever to grace a fairy tale world, with Robert De Niro as a pirate of the sky, Michelle Pfeiffer turning from wizened crone to magical femme fatale in an instant, and Ricky Gervais, er... being Ricky Gervais (in a silly hat).
You can catch the trailer courtesy of Yahoo Movies . US audiences can see the movie in August, but sadly we Brits have to wait until October; the promo gods may be smiling, but it would the movie release deities aren't quite so keen on Blighty.
