How do the different genres fair?
The age of third-person, over-the-shoulder, narrative-driven, action-adventure titles is upon us, with both shooter and action/adventure genres taking the cake for amount of games currently confirmed for the next generation. Indie titles are also blossoming, as you can see from the Arcade section. In this infographic are all the confirmed games with semblances of a release date, but there are still a ton more out there. Want to see what those are? Hop on over to every single PS4 game announced so far and every single Xbox One game announced so far for more information.
Exclusives and New Vs. Existing IPS
Refreshingly, there seems to be a great batch of original IPS coming out for both consoles. If you want to see what those are, once again hop on over to every single PS4 game announced so far and every single Xbox One game announced so far for more information.
Age of indies
Ah, here we see what was affecting those genre and exclusives graphics so much: the indie titles that PS4 is ramping up with. If you want to see the indie games on the horizon, regardless of platform, head on over to Upcomming indie games for 2013 and beyond.
Cost and console hardware comparison
So whats the difference between the two consoles themselves? Weve heard much about the the capacity difference between the two consoles, but what are the numbers behind those statements? Heres a handy side-by-side comparison for just that purpose. But what exactly are you getting in each console box? Well the Xbox One package comes with: the Xbox One console, Kinect sensor, one controller, HDMI Cable, Xbox One Chat Headset, and 14 days free of XBLA. For the PS4 package: the PS4 console, one controller, USB charging cable for that controller, headset, HDMI cable, and 14 days free of PS+.
Battle of the controllers
Sure this is a fine comparison of the differences between the two controllers. But, what about something more sensual? Well, then youd probably have to head on over to the Sensual hands on controller comparison for adeeper understanding.
Confirmed Media breakdown between the consoles
There is a lot of speculation flying around about what exactly will and wont be on each console in terms of media. Here though we stuck to the hard, confirmed facts. Stay tuned to see what else gets added to the lists in the weeks leading up to launch.
