Use our Universal Guide to beat any game

Think of your avatar as a tiny MacGyver. You start out with nothing and walk around picking up junk and using it to solve problems. While this may sound like a boring junk collecting game, the world it takes place in is actually full of problems that can be solved with things just lying all over the place. There will also be a ubiquitous sense of humor as you play because - let's face it - if there weren't, the game probably couldn't hold your interest.

Keep looking for problems to solve long enough and you'll meet a whole bunch of people. The one thing that holds them all together is that they each have a problem that they absolutely can't solve without your help. They may be missing their favorite playing card, have a broken dishwasher, not like minorities or smell really bad, but it's entirely up to you to fix it. You'll learn that helping is in your best interest because everyone has some unexpected advice or reward to offer you (even the stinky guy). Don't worry if you're not much of a real-life problem solver. If you use our handy guide to Adventure games it'll be easy.

Pro-tips:
•All Adventure games will ask you a riddle at some point. The answer is one of the following:
oNothing
oYourself
oA Mirror
oLove
oA hole
•If you have to walk through a desert, bring enough water so that you don't die after four screens.
•No adventure game character has ever taken swim lessons - stay out of the water.
•If you see fire and have corn, make popcorn. At some point you will find a need for popcorn.

RPG

You are an ordinary boy growing up in a non-descript way in a world that tends to place its fate in the hands of very young men and their buddies. Also, your parents are dead but - brace yourself - you'll be discovering that they were royalty/dragons or some shit. You will fight progressively more difficult enemies, and collect progressively better stuff. Until, by the end of the game, your arsenal will contain weapons and armor so ornate and valuable that you could sell them for a large fortune. Then retire to an uninhabited secret island, found in the unmarked north-east corner of the world map (under the compass), and live the rest of your days undisturbed and in peace. But you won't do that. Instead you'll spend dozens of hours trapped in this never-ending RPG loop:

Pro-tips:
•If you're given a choice for your weapon, make sure you learn how to fight with a sword. The best weapon in the game is always a sword.
•Identify the color or race of your opponent, and use this chart to maximize damage:

•Before you delve into a monster filled cave, make sure you're carrying the following:
oPotions - to use in case of bites, cuts, crushed limbs, devoured body parts, damage from meteors, poison oak and any other severe bodily damage.
oPhoenix downs/Life - to be used in the event of an unwanted death.
oAntidotes - make sure your antidote works on all poisons and diseases.
oCrystals - these have no particular use but tend to be important.
•If you need more magical energy to channel into destructive elemental forces, take a nap.
•Name your character "Fart" to keep dialogue sections entertaining.
