Unreal Tournament III beta demo
Mark Rein gives an update on the beta demo for PC
Oct 9, 2007
Unreal Tournament III is sitting high onour list of games to beg, borrow and steal. Either way, we're playing it. But news that the Unreal Tournament III beta demo for PC could only be a few weeks has got us wondering if it'll be good enough to prise us away from Valve's Orange Box.
Chances are it will but who would have thought all those years ago that Orange Box and UTIII would be out at the same time?
"Just wanted to give you a heads' up that we're getting pretty close to releasing the Unreal Tournament 3 Beta Demo for Windows," said Epic VP Mark Rein. "The Beta Demo will allow instant action play against bots as well as online multiplayer.
"The purpose of the Beta Demo is to test the game on a large variety of hardware configurations and get gameplay feedback from the community. The development team feels they're pretty close to being ready to release this so it could come out this week but for safety sake I'd say it should be out within two weeks."
