Uncharted's Nolan North “will burn someone's house down” if the movie is bad

Voice actor Nolan North, who’s most famous for his role as Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series, joked that he will “burn someone’s house down” if the upcoming film adaptation directed by David O. Russell is bad. Is this really the best person for Uncharted voice lead Nolan North to be threatening?

O. Russell, who has his own history of violence, repeatedly headbutted George Clooney on the set of Three Kings, provoking a fistfight between the two. The top YouTube hit for the director is the notorious torrent of blue language he unleashed upon Lily Tomlin on the set of IHeart Huckabees. For God's sake, his latest movie was called The Fighter.

Still, it seems like North and Russell are on the same side… for now. North hasn't been shy about angling for screen time as Drake, who will be played by repeat O. Russell collaborator Mark Wahlberg, but ultimately just wants the movie to be as good as he feels it could be. In an interview to be published inEdge Magazine's latest issue,North said, “Is it difficult, is it strange? Yeah. But that's the business of making big movies - you need big stars. I'm very protective of what we do.”

O. Russell, who's said by Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells to be “working really closely” with the company, presumably wants the film to be great as well; but if it comes to a physical brawl between the dangerous director and the prolific voice-actor, honestly, we'd go a buck each way. Then again, North never actually said he'd burn O. Russell's house down, or Wahlberg's – or anyone responsible for the movie for that matter. He's just pre-emptively, arson-confessingly, hopping mad. If Uncharted's 2013 premiere winds up taking place anywhere near your house, best have the fire department on speed-dial.
