Ultimate Mario Party 8 guide
Everything you could want to know and more
In the Nick of Time
Twist the hands of a clock back and forth to match a given time.
-Throw out that digital clock, and learn to tell time like the they did in Ye Oldern Days. You’ll need a steady hand to stop quickly as you’ve got to twist the hands in just the correct place.
-Slow down greatly when your hands are almost in position so you don’t overshoot
Ion the Prize
Hold the Wii Remote longways in one hand to bounce balls into their correct container
-This one is difficult. The Remote is very sensitive, so keep that in mind because if your tilt is slightly off you’ll send the balls into the wrong container.

Kartastrophe
A tilt-sensing race, consisting of two quick laps around a short track.
-Don’t over steer – it’ll cause your Remote to stop sensing
-Avoid grass, as it’ll only slow you down
King of the Thrill
Hold the classic controller classic style to knock your opponents off a tall precipice
-Your best bet is to use the jump kick to catch your foe anawares. Even if you miss, odds are you’ll jump him, squish him, and set him up for an easy knock-off.
Lava Lobbers
Face off against one other opponent in a mine cart.
-Straight and fast shots are nice. But for wiley opponents, try lobbing a high shot out of the screen and luring him into it.
Lava or Leave ‘em
Survive the longest as lava shoots fireballs that divide themselves.
-Slow your opposition by jumping on them, leaving them as food for the flames.
Lean, Mean Ravine
Reach the finish using a hovercraft, hitting ramps for speed and avoiding grate spouts.
-Do your best to stay in the watery area. You can move on the rocks, only much slower.
Lob to Rob
Shoot the mushroom targets while avoiding Goombas
-Don’t wait for your shot to connect. Instead move quickly to the next target
Loco Motives
Three train cars move back and forth between six balloons. Click them to send them in the opposite direction to keep them from popping.
-The trains move faster the more you click them. The middle train will looks like it’s going faster, but that’s only because it has more ground to cover. Don’t let the middle train’s hasty appearance distract you from the other two, because they’re the ones that you’ll actually have to click more often
