There’s a reason you may have noticed Chuck featuring fairly frequently in this regular roundup of sci-fi celeb tweets over the past few weeks. That’s because around about now the crew will be filming the final ever scenes of the show, which airs in the States on 27 January 2012 after five years on the air. It’s been a tumultuous half-decade on this side of the screen, with the show constantly teetering on the brink of cancellation due to its so-so ratings, but on-screen it’s been nothing but a success. There isn’t a sweeter show in all of science fiction, and it remains one of the few guaranteed fun 45 minutes of the week, with a band of lovable misfits to pick up the slack even when the mission of the week disappoints.
The other reason Chuck features fairly frequently in Tweets Of The Week is that it happens to have one of the most active casts on Twitter. All of the key players tweet regularly (though if you follow @ adamsbaldwin , you’ll know why he doesn’t appear as often as the others) which means we’ve been given an unusual amount of access to the final few days of a series for the price of a few “follows”. Needless to say, for the cast and fans of the show it’s been a teary week:

@ steven_moffat To clarify: any Doctor Who movie would be made by the BBC team, star the current TV Doctor and certainly NOT be a Hollywood reboot.
Movie thing: David Yates, great director, was speaking off the cuff, on a red carpet. You've seen the rubbish I talk when I'm cornered.
Also a true fact: @murraygold will break your heart in The Doctor, The Widow And The Wardrobe. Stuff the writing, it's all about the music.
@ WilliamShatner @TheRealNimoy I don't know about her hair buns but @CarrieFFisher 's buns are better than Spock's ears. And they can hear better. MBB
@ jwrinzler Saw last five reels of Director's Cut of Jedi--some scenes different/longer. Saw Lucas's re-cut of sarlacc scene. Writing, up to page 40...

@ DamonLindelof If you name a movie "War Horse" there is a reasonable expectation said horse will wear armor and/or shoot flames from its nostrils.

@ jamesmoran Ooh, day 3 of Children of Earth on Watch tonight, at 00.40. On Watch, so probably cut to bits with ad breaks mid sentence.
