Nolan Concerned About Directing Batman III
Well, here’s a rarity. Seems SFX is on the LA Times’s radar as we were contacted by them asking us to kindly draw your attention to a major three-part Christopher (Dark Knight) Nolan interview they’re running. It’s definitely worth checking out. Some of the choice tidbits include: how stunned he is by the historic success of The Dark Knight and "the madness of it all"; Heath Ledger's possible Oscar nomination; the next Batman film ("I have to ask the question: How many good third movies in a franchise can people name?") and the challenge of following up the second highest grossing film in the history of Hollywood. "The next one," he says, “Can't be bigger, so that's a relief of sorts."
Stargate Universe Titbits
Sci Fi Wire has nabbed some exclusive info about the next Stargate series – Universe (unsurprisingly, since it’s the news wing of the Sci Fi channel’s website, and Sci Fi will be producing the show… maybe that’s what SFX should do – produce our own show). The site reveals that a script for the pilot will be ready by the end of the year, the show will go into production early next year with an airdate of summer next year (beginning with a two hour pilot) and casting ideas are already underway. Actually, are these exclusives or guesses?
Twilight Zone
Three new trailers for teen vampire romance movie Twilight are now on-line, but they’re all so dull we can’t be arsed to host them here, so link through to here if you’re a fan of the books still hoping the movie might not be celluloid mogadon.
