Trine 2 moves to Wii U
The 2D platforming puzzler jumps into Nintendo's library
Trine 2: Director's Cut is a Wii U-exclusive game that adds more levels, skills and difficulty to the popular platforming puzzler. Check out the E3 released trailer of the new Wii U game:
For the uninitiated, Trine puts gamers in control of a trio of adventurers: the warrior, the wizard and the theft. Each has their own special abilities suited for tackling a variety of puzzles, and players must switch characters on the fly to conquer each challenge. Trine previously graced the screens of the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
The Wii U version will get its very own multiplayer mode, Magic Mayhem, that adds a bit of difficulty, but not much else is known about it. The Director's Cut will also be taking advantage of the Wii U GamePad, which seems uniquely suited for Trine's on-the-fly switching fun. Beyond the fancy new controls, this version will include the upcoming expansion pack, The Goblin Menace, that adds more levels and moves for each character.
