Tribes: Ascend closed beta opens on November 4
Closed beta to feature four maps, two modes, and three vehicles
If you’re waiting for the return of Tribes, your time has almost arrived. Hi-Rez Studios has announced that the closed beta phase for Tribes: Ascend is scheduled to launch on November 4. Confirmation of the beta’s launch date comes from a Cyberlink interview with Hi-Rez Studios’ Todd Harris.
During the closed beta, players will be able to sample two modes, four maps and three vehicles in 32-player matches. Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, and Rabbit Mode are all possibilities for the two modes that will be available during the beta. If you haven’t played Rabbit mode in previous Tribes titles or Planetside, it’s kind of like Capture the Flag where you get points for holding the flag while your opponents try to kill you for it.
