Trent Reznor wont score or star in Abraham Lincoln
"I hadn’t made up my mind completely"
Nine Inch Nails frontman and fresh Oscar-winner Trent Reznor won’t be involved in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter in any capacity.
After word leaked online earlier this month that the Social Network composer would be providing the music for Timur Bekmambetov’s book adap – as well as making a cameo – Reznor has revealed himself that he won’t be involved in the film at all.
“Don’t believe everything you read,” he posted on the NIN forum. “As it turns out, I WON’T be working on (acting or scoring) ALVH after all.”
He goes on to add: “There’s no juicy story here, it’s just that when the news mysteriously leaked out about my involvement I hadn’t made up my mind completely, because various aspects of the project were changing.
“Bottom line, I wish them the best with the film and I’m sure it will still be great.”
Put this one down to ‘creative differences’, then. At least we know Reznor's definitely scoring David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo , which should hopefully provide us with a quality companion piece for our Social Network CD.
