New Lego Star Wars sets are massively discounted for Black Friday but I'd hit these 7 first

You probably wouldn't picture the two together (like creepy Anakin and Padme in Attack of the Clones), but Black Friday is a great time for Lego Star Wars deals. Numerous sets get slashed in price for sales season, and it just so happens that plenty of new kits have been heavily discounted this November. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

There are enough bargains to fill an asteroid field, so - as a massive Star Wars nerd - I've whittled it down to the 7 sets I'd prioritize myself. Besides being some of the best Black Friday Lego deals so far, the list includes some highly-anticipated kits are record low prices. As an example, the fancy new Lego Star Wars Star Destroyer model is £126.99 at Amazon instead of £150 (AKA the cheapest it's ever been).

Seeing as the sale includes one of the best Lego sets overall, I'd say it's worth a Han-style "yahoo." Let's dig in, shall we?

Of all these the kits, the ones I'm happiest to see on offer are the TIE Interceptor and the Imperial Star Destroyer. The latter is a gorgeous model that doesn't miss out on detail or that instantly-recognisable silhouette despite being shrunken right down in size. It's also a solid middle-ground between a display kit for adults and a playset for kids thanks to it opening up to reveal rooms you can place minifigures in. Oh, and it having Cal Kestis from the Star Wars Jedi series is a real bonus. I've got this one on my personal to-do list, and I'm really excited to crack it open because I think it'll look awesome beside the Lego Millennium Falcon and Lego Tantive IV.

As for the UCS TIE Interceptor, phew - where do I start? This is the kind of impressive set that really draws the eye as soon as you walk in a room, and it's a properly faithful recreation of one of my favorite ships in the saga. It's got the same kind of attention to detail as the Lego UCS X-Wing with nav screens showing the displays seen in the movie, including... you guessed it, an X-Wing in the targeting computer. They'd make one hell of a pair together on a shelf.
