Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam - the interview
We hit up the game's producer with five questions about what's new for PS2
GR: What multiplayer modes are planned for the PS2 version? (will it still support four-player split-screen? Are there any plans for online play?)
KL: The PS2 version of Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam features two-player split-screen multiplayer and includes all of the multiplayer modes from the original release, plus three new multiplayer modes. Multiplayer modes Air Time, Mayhem and Yard Sale all make their first appearance in the PS2 version of Downhill Jam. There are no plans for online with this title, but who knows what the future may bring?
GR: With the loss of motion-sensitive controls, will there be any new gameplay features for PS2 owners to brag about?
KL: In addition to all of the new features that I mentioned before, the players can now play Downhill Jam with the PS2 controller scheme that fans of the Tony Hawk series have grown to love. Since the release of the original version last holiday season, PS2 owners have been missing out on what it feels like to skateboard downhill at intense speeds and race against opponents. Now, Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam is available for them to enjoy as well.
