Immersive as such touches can be, Tomb Raider: Anniversary still doesn't have us completely convinced. For one thing, the Wii edition isn't as full as previous versions; it's more of a highlight reel showcasing the best parts in short snippets. In addition, the targeting during action sequences seemed to be more automatic than player controlled... a choice that might please kids but will quickly bore adults.
In the end, we're hoping that the smarter puzzles will outweigh the dumber action for a unique and worthwhile experience on the Wii. Watch GamesRadar for further impressions as we see more of the game.
