Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Jared Leto in final talks for Suicide Squad
Suicide Squad is closing in on some impressive additions to its ensemble, with Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Jared Leto all thought to be in advance negotiations.
Will Smith is thought to be in discussions with Warner over a potential role, while Cara Delavingne has also been linked to the production. It has also been suggested that Jesse Eisenberg may reprise his Batman v Superman role as Lex Luthor.
According to THR, pre-production will begin on the film in February before cameras begin rolling in Toronto between mid-April and September.
The film will feature a collection of DC supervillains teaming up on behalf of the government in exchange for the opportunity to wipe their slates clean, with the likes of Harley Quinn and the Joker in the comic-book lineup.
Directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad will open in the US on 5 August 2016, with a UK date yet to be confirmed.
