Tom Hardy says 100 Bullets is "a psychological f**kfest"
After teasing his involvement in a DC Comics property for some time, it's come to light that Tom Hardy is prepping a big-screen adaptation of 100 Bullets for Warner Bros.' genre arm New Line Cinema. According to a report from THR, Hardy has begun development on the project, taking on a producer role alongside his business partner Dean Baker.
The original comic, from writer Brian Azzarrello and artist Eduardo Risso, hails from DC's genre imprint Vertigo. The Vatican Tapes scribe Chris Borelli has already penned the script, which tells the story of a mysterious man named Agent Graves who gifts people with a trio of items to help them seek revenge on those responsible for murdering their loved ones. The killer's identity, a gun, and... 100 untraceable bullets. Hardy is reportedly in line to star as Graves.
Earlier in the year, the actor spoke with Collider and made reference to the project, describing it as "a psychological fuckfest; it’s absolutely awesome. It’s as if you would take Transmetropolitan and make it happen, but it’s not that out there - it’s something which is much more real world. It could be like Heat; it could be fucking awesome."
Consider us sold, Mr. Hardy.
