Tom Clancy's EndWar
Take on the world using only your mouth
If you’re still feeling confused about strapping a headset to your dome and learning to play EndWar largely via voice commands alone, then fear not. Want to storm an enemy fortification? Simply first address a unit, then a task, then a grid location. So, for example, “Riflemen, secure, bravo” should get the job done. Similarly, constructing new troops couldn’t be easier- all it takes is an utterance of the words “Create group...” followed by your choice. It’s super-intuitive to pick up, and you’ll soon be dishing out the orders like the geeky Eisenhower you are without a trace of self-consciousness (although we’ll all be laughing and pointing at you behind your back).
It might be humanity’s worst nightmare, but playing out World War III by laying into our filthy neighbour states using the latest and greatest machines o’ war and our manly voices is every macho gamer’s dream. Clancy sure knows his audience.
