Tiny Tina's Wonderlands: everything we know about the Borderlands spin-off
Release date, gameplay, and all the the juicy details we can find about Tiny Tina's Wonderlands
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is just around the corner. The vibrant, fast-paced spinoff from the Borderlands 2 Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC is coming in March 2022, so if you've been waiting for a chance to hang out with Tina again, you won't have to wait much longer.
Since we're so closed to release, we know quite a bit about the upcoming game, which will be a hybrid slant on the main series' breakneck looter shooter style we last enjoyed in Borderlands 3 - but expect a fantasy twist. Basically: guns, magic, and foul language.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands includes a world-class voice cast like returning actor Ashly Burch along with A-list actors Will Arnett and Andy Samberg. We know that Tiny Tina's Wonderlands will have random encounters that are triggered just like Pokemon, and that there are some great RPG classes to choose from, which we'll go into detail about below.
Now, cast and blast your way through everything we know about Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. There's quite a bit.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands release date

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands gameplay trailer
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands gameplay, setting and characters
Set in the immediate wake of cult classic Borderlands 2 DLC, Assault on Dragon Keep, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands re-establishes its eponymous and eccentric dungeon master as a fun, frantic and wholly unpredictable tour guide. With that, the game unfolds inside a Dungeons and Dragons-like affair named Bunkers & Badasses, where the lovely Tina switches up the game world's rules on the fly with a click of a finger.

To this end, speaking in a PlayStation Blog post, Gearbox creative director Matt Cox said he and his team have created a world which "bends the rules of traditional fantasy while mixing it with the classic", in what could be described as a warped take on high fantasy.
As outlined in the trailer above, this involves a whole lot of shooting and spell-casting, pulling on powerful weapons and magic alike, as you blast your way through a typically gorgeous cel-shaded landscape – including bustling towns, mushroom forests, towering fortresses, and the 'Overworld', which is described as an "interactive tabletop zone" and a nod to old school JRPG fans.
Through all of this, your mission in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is to defeat the Dragon Lord, says Cox, and their vast ensemble of foot-soldiers, who include "monsters, sentient smack-talking skeletons, land-roaming sharks and colossal bosses". In doing so, you'll utilise powerful guns, outlandish melee weaponry, and combination skills in fast and frantic first-person combat in a world which exists entirely in Tina's head.
As you may have seen from that star-studded initial reveal trailer, Wonderlands’ cast is absolutely stacked. Featuring voice performances from Andy Samberg (Captain Valentine), Ashly Burch (Tiny Tina), Wanda Sykes ( Fret), and even Will Arnett (The Dragon Lord), Wonderlands will introduce players to a whole new crew of lovable oddballs.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands classes
You can mix and match six unique character skill trees, each with their own bespoke abilities. You can tweak your character's appearance too, how they sound, and you can take on the Dragon Lord and his cronies in single-player or with up to three friends in four-player co-op.
The classes in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands are:
- Brr-zerker: Frost-infused bruisers that use magic and melee power
- Clawbringer: Thunder and flame power dolled out with a hammer, plus a Wyvern companion
- Graveborn: Death-touched acolytes who use Dark Magic and have a Demi-Lich companion
- Spellshot: Gun-toting wizards, hell yeah
- Spore Warden: Masters of nature with an adorable mushroom companion
- Stabbomancer: Assassins that focus on getting critical hits who can summon magical blades
