Tim Burton has yet to shoot his next film, gothic TV adap Dark Shadows , but he’s already looking to the future for the project after that.
And word has it that the director is considering a new film version of Victor Hugo’s 1831 novel The Hunchback Of Notre Dame.
Not only that, but Burton would have Josh Brolin onboard as both producer and star – a switch-up to the director’s usual collaboration routine with Johnny Depp.
Considering Burton’s plate is currently still full with Dark Shadows , the Hunchback production is in very early stages.
Heat Vision report that the director will only officially sign once the script by Sherlock Holmes 2 scribes Kieran and Michele Mulroney has been completed.
For those who haven’t seen the Disney version of the yarn, Hunchback centres on a deformed bell-ringer in Notre Dame who falls in love with a gypsy.
