THE ARTISTIC CONCEPT OF BRICOLAGE – by changing the context of an object, you alter its meanings – powers Brit-director Andrew Kötting’s latest experimental doc. Set in and around his house in a remote region of the French Pyrenees, the film blends footage from Kötting’s home movies, fragments of text, cut-up sound clips and an eerie electronic score from Scanner. Lasting barely an hour, it still forms a vivid portrait of both a specific place and of Kötting’s handicapped 22-year-old daughter Eden, who’s shown to relish painting and singing along to Abba and Elvis Presley.
